This solution is implemented via two Mapping and Mediation Engine-based Access Modules as follows:

• MS WMS AM to provide fault management of BSG and luPC components over a 3GPP R6 CORBA north bound interface for Fault Management.
• MS ALSMS AM to provide fault management for the ALSMS sub-network manager for Brick over an SNMP v2c interface to the ALSMS platform.

The WMS AM supports full manual and automatic alarm resynchronization. The ALSMS supports resychronisation for certain Brick traps. ICMP polling of the ALSMS platform is supported enabling resynchronisation to be automatically invoked on reestablishment of successful ICMP polling.

Both AMs support for clear correlation of alarms will be provided where applicable.
