Automation capabilities comprise scripts that are invoked by the CrossTalk™ Perl Automation Framework (PAF) which provides a complete development environment abstracted from the HP TeMIP framework. The Perl interface supplied allows any supported HP TeMIP TAL command to be issued from a launched Perl script. The PAF simplifies and de-skills the building of new alarm processing applications and services for integration with HP TeMIP. Solutions can easily be built that are capable of acting on received HP TeMIP alarms either by:
The PAF provides a controlled framework for the development and execution of Perl alarm processing scripts that are launched by the receipt of specific HP OV TeMIP alarms triggered by the CrossTalk™ Alarm Application Services (AAS). As well a providing Perl support libraries for the TeMIP TAL interface, Systems Mechanics also provide support libraries for commands issued over SSH/Telnet connections. Initial implementations have focussed on Ericsson equipment automation facilities relating to:
To complement the fully automated PAF framework we also provide a Semi-Automated scripting facility (SAST). This caters either for manually trialling automation scripts prior to implementing them in the fully automated PAF framework or simply to accommodate a regular time-consuming set of actions/queries that an operator may wish to launch on a frequent basis in the context of a selected alarm in the TeMIP Alarm Handling. Client. Scripts have been developed for the following operations again for Ericsson equipment:
