This represents a significant development in the integration of OSS solutions. Working in conjunction with EMC Smarts, Systems Mechanics have produced a highly functional liaison to integrate these two products for fault management. This enables the power of these leading products to be fully exploited and utilized in a combined architecture for heterogeneous network management First line fault management can be provided through HP TeMIP, without the need to refer directly to the EMC Smarts system. High value Root Cause and MPLS VPN alerts from EMC Smarts are forwarded to HP TeMIP for presentation and management.

The liaison features include powerful entity modelling and mapping, full resynchronization, bi-directional alarm status updates and contextual launch of the Smarts GUI.
