New Access Module for Agilent FireHunter Active Test System (Jan) SysMech brings KPI threshold alerting into TeMIP with the release of the Firehunter AM for the Agilent's WQM application. In Q2 2005 a new implementation to bring KPI Threshold traps from Agilent's Wireless Quality Manager (aka Firehunter) was deployed to a large mobile operator in Western Europe. The Firehunter product from Agilent Networks allows mobile Operators to test services running on their 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks. The Firehunter AM solution developed by Systems Mechanics allows KPI breach alarms generated by the Firehunter application to be meaningfully presented in TeMIP against appropriate Firehunter service-related objects. Key Components:
The Firehunter AM solution uses a standard TeMIP IST Customisation based on the Firehunter MIB as the initial interface for collection of the SNMP traps from a Firehunter instance. To add further value, the CrossTalk™ AMS is used to positively change the look and feel of the SNMP trap as well as mapping it to a specific service-related managed object instance. This allows operators to quickly and effectively isolate problematic services. The solution supports collection of traps from multiple Firehunter implementations into a single TeMIP server. |
