CrossTalk™ Alarm Mediation Services is a generic facility that operates at the OSI event level and is independent of Access Module type.
It provides the ability to intercept alarms/events issued by Access Modules via TeMIP Low level corrective filters and undertake a range of mapping activities on an alarm/event prior to its arrival in TeMIP Alarm Handling.
User configurable mapping rules provide the ability to:
- Match one or more strings from the alarm attributes to qualify the alarm for re-mapping
- Extract key alarm fields and re-format these with user defined text for presentation in a chosen alarm attribute, for example in the first line of Additional Text or through User Definable alarm attributes available from HP TeMIP V5.3 onwards
- Change key alarm attributes - Event Type, Severity, Probable Cause, Additional Text, Specific Problems etc.
- Re-target alarms to different objects
- Dynamically load rules for un-interrupted operation
